The AION Fortune Fayre is Coming

March 8th, 2011

By The Fayrefolk >
The travelling Fortune Fayre (not related to the Fortuneers) has come to Sanctum/Pandaemonium for this year Fortune Festival! They are inviting all Daevas to test their providence with brand new, aether-imbued Charm Cards! What will Fate hand the Asmodian Kindred? Will the cards help the Elyos better understand their past? One thing for sure: you are not going to find out sitting there on your winged backside, so come along and see what Aion has in store for you!No refunds.

The Fortune Fayre, which takes place from Wednesday March 9th, 2011 to Wednesday March 23rd, 2011, marks the time of year when a motley crew of Fayrefolk descends on the capital cities and encourages Daevas to try their luck in games of chance. Who will be influencing your destiny in the year to come, will it be one of the Empyrean Lords, or, perhaps, Aion himself? Maybe your fate is cursed by the Dragon Lord Beritra? Only the Fayrefolk can tell you.

Event Staff NPCs in each capital city give out all the relevant quests

Thourak and Metrano will offer each player a one-time quest (Asmodian: The Fayrefolk, and Elyos: Meet the Fayrefolk) that rewards them with a 14-day temporary title, Charmer, which gives some bonuses. No actions are required to complete the quest; just talk to the NPC and they will grant you the title. Aion: New Pets & Companions

March 7th, 2011

There are several types of pets available for you to adopt, although they are not necessary for you to play the game. While some are only companions who follow you once summoned, others have various functions. Some pets can be purchased in either Pandaemonium or Sanctum, but others are only available by purchasing a retail copy of Assault on Balaurea, completing daily quests, or as random drops from high-level monsters. You can have up to 100 pets, but can only summon one at a time.

Adopting a Pet

You will need to purchase the egg for the pet you want from a Pet Merchant, and then take the egg to a Pet Minder to hatch it for you. Pet Merchants and Pet Minders are found in both capital cities.

Special Reward Stewards belonging to each Daily Quest Organization also offer pets in exchange for Tokens.

Level 40 Daily Quests: Pack Pet

Aion: Gateway Getaway and Double XP Events

February 23rd, 2011

BY AION TEAM>

All love the Aion Double XP events. To supplement them, we are introducing a new kind of event that complements that big XP boost. Break out the cheers for a Gateway Getaway!

Our new NPCs, Basileides and Agnar, provide a full access pass for you to the Gateway Getaway event that begins Wednesday, February 23, and runs until March 9, 2011.

During this Gateway Getaway event, we will introduce special entrance gates that allow your characters to enter instances despite fort ownership. You can enter a selection of the Upper Abyss fort instances and Divine’s Abyssal Splinter from the home territories of Primum and Teminon, and access Silentera Canyon from inside your home base in the Illusion and Gelkmaros fortresses.

Sharpen your swords, and jump into the Gateway Getaway!

How to Make Aion Kinah more easily?

February 18th, 2011

Know Your Enemy – Just as some mobs of the same level give different experience, mobs will also drop different loot. Humanoid creatures will drop coin in addition to loot and while the difference isn’t staggering in reward, the extra coin does make it worthwhile to choose your targets wisely if you happen to be out grinding for XP or kinah.

Also keep in mind that named mobs and Abyss mobs will drop better loot. I don’t advocate farming named mobs during peak hours of gaming, but if it’s a quiet day, hopping back to lower levels (a tier lower than what you currently play in works well if your solo farming) and hitting all the good named mobs is a easy way to pick up a little extra cash.
