The new Airships are finally coming to Eorzea in 1.19, together with Chocobo Mounts, to help make traveling around the realm more enjoyable. Ride a ‘horsebird’ to get wherever you need to go by land, or book passage on an airship to fly the quickest routes between Ul’ah, Gridania, and Limsa. Airship voyages themselves will take only mere seconds, though there will be sweet little cutscenes accompanying departures and arrivals.

The FINAL FANTASY XI Test Server is a special server dedicated to testing various features that are in development for future version updates. With the test server, players may try out new content before its release and submit feedback and suggestions for improvement on the official forums.

The initial test period will focus on the new job abilities, job traits, and magic spells set to accompany the level cap increase that will be featured in the forthcoming version update.

The next version update of FFXI is scheduled to include the next stage of the continuing level cap increase for both player characters and adventuring fellows.

The maximum job level for player characters will be raised to 95.
A new limit break quest will be added, the completion of which will unlock levels 91 and above.　The level cap increase will be accompanied by an assortment of new job abilities, job traits, and magic spells.

The maximum level for adventuring fellows will be raised to 90.
A new fellow limit break quest will be added, the completion of which will unlock levels 86 and above.

A long time ago, on the farthest edges of living memory, a lone meteorite came hurtling down from the sky, finally coming to rest in a lightless corner of Vana’diel. From the molten core of this extraterrestrial rock emerged the demon king Ullegore, whose sole desire was the complete and utter eradication of joy and jubilance from the world. Seemingly an ordinary stage starlet, Mumor is in truth a magically imbued fighter possessed of the ability to convert the spirited cheering of her fans into a formidable force with which to vanquish evil. Aided by her girl-next-door good looks and winsome ways, Mumor danced and sang her way into the hearts of folk the Middle Lands over, restoring smiles to the faces of children and grownups alike. …

The update contains a number of improvements to the game’s quality, including the addition of new vendors, smoothed texture effects, and usability improvements to many of the game’s existing systems.

Several jobs have seen improvements with this update, including White Mage, Samurai, and Puppetmaster, with the latter getting a few new automaton pieces to complement the changes. A number of Grounds of Valor regimes have also seen their overall requirements tweaked to help players complete the objectives with fewer headaches. There are also new and improved textures and resolution option for users on the PC, a welcome option that’s been requested for some time.

Square Enix accounts that use security tokens, however, will never have their logins restricted.

Under this new system, once login has been restricted, an email notification will be sent to the primary email address registered to the Square Enix Account. This email will contain instructions on how to remove the login restriction. Players will be asked to reset their passwords and log in again.

Get ‘em before there’s nothing left but crumbs!” chimed Naji from the Mythril Musketeers. He was carrying a massive chest, and upon opening it, the crowd was met with rice cakes wrapped in bamboo leaves and a plethora of delicacies prepared in the Far Eastern tradition.

“From doorboy to pack mule!” a few of the musketeers jeered. Yet upon seeing Naji’s expression change from one of jovial expectation to utter dejection, an infectious laughter spread throughout the crowd. Shino took two of the rice cakes and handed them to the boy. His face instantaneously lit up with a smile, and then he noticed his little sister was looking at him. The boy passed one of the cakes to his sister with an almost inaudible “Here,” and her ensuing smile told everyone that nothing could have made her day any better.

“That’s the spirit!” Shino nodded in approval.

And thus the curtain was drawn on this year’s Feast of Swords.
