When details of Blizzard’s upcoming casual MMO, code-named Titan, are incredibly scarce due to the developer’s ironclad secrecy, it falls to enterprising fans to ferret out any scraps of information that may exist. One such player on the NeoGAF forums was combing through a Blizzard job posting for a Franchise Development Producer and noted an interesting line that indicated the studio could be mulling over the idea of in-game ads for its next MMO.

The line in question specifies that one of the duties of the position is to “work with major consumer brands to facilitate product placement and licensing within the world of Blizzard Entertainment’s next-gen MMO that enhances the gameplay experience.” Whether this is a sign that we’ll be seeing billboards for Skittles while we raid or that players will be able to get endorsements and decorate their outfits a la NASCAR cars is anyone’s guess.

It’s important to note that the rest of this position entails a number of efforts to promote Blizzard’s “next-gen MMO” outside of the tight-knit gaming sphere, including comics, action figures, and short movies.

Charges of extreme cuteness have been directed at Blizzard ever since the company unveiled its Panda-themed expansion for World of Warcraft. If a new post on the Battle.net forums is any indication, that won’t be an issue for Diablo III.

A Blizz community manager penned an update regarding D3′s beta patch 10, and among the notes is the fact that the game’s companion scrolls are going away temporarily. “The companion pets felt like they were mandatory to maximize play efficiency and some of the pets were too cutesy for the gritty, dark world of Sanctuary,” Nethaera wrote.

The pets (and scrolls) aren’t gone for good, as the devs have plans for “a much cooler system (both mechanically and visually)” in the future.

While there’s still no release date set for Diablo III, it seems the release may be further off than some players were guessing, judging by the latest round of sweeping system overhauls. A new post by game director Jay Wilson goes over several major changes being made to the game, starting with the fact that Scrolls of Identify are gone. You have a short casting time to identify and item and that’s it, with no need to carry around a separate item.

The latest changes also remove the Mystic artisan, the Cauldron of Jordan, and the Nephalem Cube. The latter two were removed due to the inclusion of a Town Portal button, making trips back and forth far easier, while the Mystic artisan lacked a sufficiently defined role amidst other item modifications. There’s also a major stat overhaul, which reduces the core attributes to Strength, Dexterity, Intellect, and Vitality. They’re far-reaching changes, and only time will tell how much their impact might slow the game’s release as the team tests the altered systems.

The 10 best weapons for shadow priests in patch 4.3

If you want to buy some wow gold Powerleveling and wow item, please click here.

Are you a priest? And what do you think are the best weapons for you in patch 4.3? Today we will discuss with you about the ten best weapons of Shadow Priest in Patch 4.3!
When we met here last, I spent a great deal of time calculating the power of trinkets, partially because it’s an important subject and one that’s not easy for a shadow priest to unravel without performing their own research (or reading someone else’s). The real reason: WoW Insider data shows you guys absolutely love reading about trinkets. And why wouldn’t you? Trinkets are the most compelling gear slot to fill. Instead of relying on boring, flat stats, they offer compelling procs.

There are numerous types of weapons available, but for our purposes, we’ll break things down into two distinct categories: one-handed weapons and two-handed weapons. Before we get into specific answers, let’s take on the one question that everyone asks:

Two-handed weapons vs. main-hand plus off-hand

In general, all items that share the same item level have the same stat budget when they’re being designed. But while a main-hand weapon plus an off-hand frill have a similar stat budget to a two-handed weapon, they’re not quite the same. To wit, at i378:
•	Fanged Tentacle + Orb of the First Satyr = 400 intellect, 2,333 spellpower, and 525 points of secondary stats
•	Scepter of Azshara + Demonic Skull = 400 intellect, 2,333 spellpower, and 516 points of secondary stats
•	Stalk of Corruption = 406 intellect, 2,334 SP, and 541 points of secondary stats
•	Jaina’s Staff = 406 intellect, 2,334 SP, and 519 points of secondary stats

As you can see, you get a little bit more bang for your buck with a two-handed staff than with a main-hand plus an off-hand. But that’s before enchanting. When you’ve got an off-hand frill equipped, you can use the Superior Intellect enchant to add another 40 intellect to your total.

So which is better? Well, they’re both pretty similar, but if you’re absolutely obsessed about the most marginal of gains (and again, our research shows my audience can’t get enough of marginal gains), then your best route in general is going to be to have a main-hand weapon plus an off-hand.

For the pre-raiding shadow priest

Hey, I get it. Not everyone raids. Some folks don’t like dealing with the entitled, arrogant attitudes of the incredibly outspoken minority who try to ruin Raid Finder for everybody. Other folks aspire to be raiders, but just haven’t gotten the minimum level gear needed to gain access.

If you’re not raiding, you’ll be looking at the i378-level gear currently available in 5-man heroics. Your best bet will be putting together the Orb of the First Satyr (389 PP), which drops off Peroth’arn in Well of Eternity, with the Fanged Tentacle (2,098 PP), a drop off Archbishop Benedictus in Hour of Twilight. Combined, they’re marginally better than the best two-handed staff available at i378, the Stalk of Corruption (2,496 PP), also from Benedictus.

The best raiding gear

Theorycrafting the weapons without a proc is a simple mathematic endeavor. The pseudopower numbers below were calculated using numbers from Mr. Robot and normal mode gear. Numbers for one-handed weapons include the benefit of the BiS enchanted off-hand for comparison purposes.

8. Visage of the Destroyer (2,995 PP), a two-handed staff from Warmaster Blackhorn
7. Scalpel of Unrelenting Agony (3,014 PP), a one-handed dagger from Yor’sahj
6. Lightning Rod (3,029 PP), a two-handed staff from Hagara
5. Maw of the Dragonlord (3,032 PP), a one-handed mace from Madness of Deathwing
4. Vagaries of Time (3,056 PP), a one-handed mace from Morchok

3. Ti’Tahk (3,183)

Shadow priests are a benevolent sort. We offer our allies light amounts of healing. We offer unmatched style, brightening the day of all whom gaze upon us. And with the Ti’Tahk staff, a Madness of Deathwing drop, shadow priests can give their raidmates the gift of haste. Every 45 seconds, you’ll receive the benefit of 1,928 haste for 10 seconds while giving a bonus 386 haste to three of your new best friends.

2. Rathrak, the Poisonous Mind (> 3,183)

Like the Cunning of the Cruel trinket we discussed last week, the power of Rathrak, the Poisonous Mind is quite dependent on how many enemy targets you’re up against at the time. That’s because it offers a proc that inflicts a bonus (albeit low-powered) DoT on any enemy with the bad fortune of having you as an enemy. And as someone who picked this weapon up on an alt, I can confirm that it procs quite often — once per 15 seconds or so.

Coming up with an exact pseudopower value for that proc is difficult. Thankfully, though, we don’t need to go through complex math here. Pair Rathrak with the Ledger of Revolting Rituals and you’re already up to 3,041 psuedopower, even before the proc. With one target, Rathrak becomes competitive with Ti’tahk. With two targets or more, Rathrak is so much better that it’s a slam dunk.

1. Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest (~4,290)

It probably shouldn’t surprise you at this point that the incredibly hard-to-obtain Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest is still your best in slot. It’s brutally overpowered.

For those of you who don’t currently have this crave-worthy staff, let me explain its proc. On each spellcast, you have a chance to gain the Wrath of Tarecgosa, an effect that duplicates the spell you just cast. If it procs off Mind Blast, you get to enjoy an immediate second blast of Mind Blast damage. If it procs off Vampiric Touch, your target will essentially be afflicted with two separate VT DoTs. The proc rate is about 10%, which is pretty spectacular.

What weapons will you choose when fighting? Choose one for your weapon! Swagvault is holding an activity of giving more gold and good mount in lunar festival. Don’t miss the activity and get the mount and wow gold you want! Check out this page:

Since the introduction of cross-realm dungeons via Real ID, countless players have been clamoring for the feature to be extended to raids, too. Well, countless players, you don’t need to wait much longer. Cross-realm raids will be coming in patch 4.3.2. So sayeth Blizzard:

Coming in Patch 4.3.2 — Cross-Realm RaidsWe previously introduced the ability to form cross-realm parties with Real ID friends, and now with Patch 4.3.2, we’re adding the ability for players to use that same functionality to form raids to run older normal or heroic raids, or participate in Battlegrounds!

This will allow you to join up with your Real ID friends from other realms and:

Form a cross-realm raid and use Raid Finder Jump in to any classic dungeon or raid and be automatically placed in the same instance Join forces and dominate the Battlegrounds Please note, you will not yet be able to run normal or Heroic Dragon Soul with cross-realm Real ID raids.

As we look forward to the BattleTag system, it’s a very exciting time for World of Warcraft. No matter what realm you and your friends are on you’ll be able to team up and take on group content throughout the game.

Blizzard’s charity auctions of retired server blades seemed to go pretty well, with each blade going for several hundred dollars on eBay (and all of that money going to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital). Most of them ended before the holidays, which is unfortunate for those of us who missed grabbing the physical representation of a server community near and dear to their heart. But if you play on a European server, you might just be in luck — Blizzard is offering a series of last-chance auctions for EU server blades starting today! Each server blade comes mounted in a nice case with an engraved plate ensuring authenticity, signed by members of the WoW dev team.

The full list of servers and end dates is available on the official Blizzard site. Good luck and happy bidding, EU folks!

World of Warcraft’s lead quest designer, Dave Kosak, let slip in an interview today that the recently released patch 4.3 will be the final major content update to hit Azeroth until Mists of Pandaria goes live. This is obviously a notable discovery, since it either means that Mists of Pandaria will be coming out soon, or WoW players are gonna be waiting a long time for the next patch. When asked if he believes that there’s enough content in patch 4.3 to keep users sated until MoP comes out, Kosak replied that “between the three excellent dungeons [the game has], the new raid, and Raid Finder that should give people something to sink their teeth into for a few months.” For the full interview, including a look back at the good and bad of WoW’s patch 4.3, click on through the link below.

If you want to buy some wow gold or wow item, please click here.

The thing is that PvP is a fundamentally different game from PvE. I’m not saying one’s better or worse; the two aspects of WoW just have significant variations in gear, thought processes, and playstyles that can make the transition a little bumpy. As such, let’s renew a guide to getting away from killing bosses every week and get down to how to kill your fellow players. (In game. Let’s not get weird here.)

Resilience vs. damage

I’ve written about resilience until I’m blue in the face. We all understand why it’s important: It reduces incoming damage from other players. At this point, you can reduce said incoming damage by well over 40%. Much higher numbers are possible, but let’s play with 40% for a second.

Let’s say you’re fairly well geared for PvE, can produce your damage rotation reliably, and know what you’re doing. You have a DPS of somewhere around 30k. (I know, I know, you’re awesome and do more. I like 30k because it’s a round number.) Against me, in my standard 40% resilience gear, you’re now merely doing 18k DPS.

At this point, I tend to hear people shout about the fact that PvP gear puts out less damage, since it swaps out damage stats in favor of resilience. That’s not false. The argument would be relevant if the combatants are two mages lining up 40 paces from one another, throwing spells back and forth until one of them falls down.

The reality is that PvP combat doesn’t work like that. You rarely get through your entire priority list. Usually, you get one or two attacks off and then you spend an hour and a half running around in circles struggling to get another shot at attacking. (Some rogues in Battlegrounds look like they’re having seizures, flailing around the map like floppy, overexcited puppies.) Since you don’t get your entire rotation off, those damage stats all interact differently with one another.

It’s pretty rare that you’ll be in one-on-one combat, anyway. Even in the Arena, you have a partner. Dead characters do no damage, so if you don’t have resilience, you’re essentially a speed bump. Your little bit of extra damage from PvE gear won’t help you when you’re dead.

Get honor, buy gear

The best PvP gear is available from conquest points. Sadly, just like PvE valor points, you’re limited to how many conquest points you get each week. If you wait for conquest points to buy all of your gear, you’re in for a long, hard life. We’ll all be playing pandas by the time you get done.

Grind honor, buy gear. How do you grind honor? Your options include Tol Barad, world PvP, and Battlegrounds. Here’s the quick and dirty evaluation for each of the three methods.

World PvP isn’t quite a myth. It does happen. It could happen to you. But it doesn’t happen often or reliably, and never in sufficient amounts that you’ll earn enough honor to buy all your stuff.
Tol Barad can be fun if you can grab a winning team. More often, though, it feels like a zerg of lemmings running face-first into a zerg of dodos. Only raw chance and random circumstances determine whether the lemmings or dodos will win. You should still do Tol Barad, because the reputation vendor has some good starting PvP gear. But don’t hang your hopes on it.
That leaves the Battlegrounds. This is where you get your honor. It’s also the point of most casual PvP, after all. You get the most honor by randomly stepping into a Battleground and then winning. Even if you lose, you’ll get a nice chunk of honor pretty quickly.

Just keep doing that and buy all the gear you can. What order you go in doesn’t really matter.

Follow some key advice

The rest of transitioning from PvE to PvP is following some time-honored, painfully learned PvP tactics that don’t have good parallels in the raiding game. Most of these can be presented in bullet style.
Kill the healers first. They’re balanced to require more than one person to kill. While you have a buddy alive, drop that healer immediately. The close cousin to this rule is to protect your own healers.
Don’t fight on the road. No Battleground is won by fighting on the road. Fight near objectives. Fight the urge to get off your mount.
Yes, that class is that annoying. Getting tired of frost mages, rogues, and death knights? Don’t worry, so is everyone else. But those guys have counter-classes they hate, too, so don’t get frustrated. (OK, I don’t know what counters frost mages, but I’m sure something does.)
Stay with the zerg. Running off alone doesn’t make you a superhero. It makes you free honor. Stick with your team as best you can.
Switch up your strategy. If you detect your battlegroup has certain habits, do something radically different. Playing 20 Arathi Basin games this week, I noticed the Alliance go to the Mine, Stables, and Blacksmith every time. When a priest and I opted to go pay the Farm a visit, the Horde sure were embarassed (and they lost).
Stay away from the cliff. Accept the fact that a half-million boomkin and elemental shaman are eagerly waiting for you to get to the edge of a cliff. They’re there. Even if the opposing side seems to have no druids or shaman, they will magically teleport into the match just to blow you off.
We’ll do a Battleground summary for folks who are just getting started, so that you know more specifics for each game. That’s where the real strategy and positioning comes in. It’s also where our hope for humanity goes to die. For now, though, if you get started with these tips and go busily collect honor, you’ll find your PvP experience infinitely easier very soon.
